Live Love Well was established in Kenya in 2017 by Talitha Hogebrug and Poul David Videbaek with a mission to ignite and accelerate sustainable business in Africa. We are both passionate about the vision to eradicate poverty and heal the planet and we have more than 25 year collective experience in Africa and 45 years of business development and entrepreneurship.
Talitha, born in Amsterdam the Netherlands has over 20 years’ experience as entrepreneur and commercial manager in the field of New Business Development & Strategic Partnerships in Africa & Asia. Talitha holds a Master of Science International Strategic Marketing Management and a Master of Business Administration in Executive African Leadership & International Business Development from Copenhagen Business School/ Mount Kenya University in Nairobi.
Poul David, born in Denmark, has over 25 years experience as entrepreneur and business manager in technology and FMCG in Africa, Latin America, Europe and Oceania. Poul David holds a Master of Business Administration in Global Electronic Management from Copenhagen Business School, Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Koln University of Economics and Egade Business School in Monterrey in Mexico.
Dominic Gasperraj, born in India, joined the Live Love Well team in January 2018. Dominic has over 30 years of managerial experience in the field of Food & Beverage, Life Science and FMCG companies, including edible oils, ice cream, frozen desserts, pharmaceuticals, low calorie products and edible nuts. Dominic is our Live Love Well Guru in Food Manufacturing and edible oil processing. Dominic has extensive experience with implementing and auditing regulatory standards (GMP, HACCP, LEAN Kaizen and ISO) as well as Supply Chain management. Dominic holds 2 Master degrees, a MBA from the Bharathidasan University, Chennai and a Master of Science in Chemistry from the Madras University in India.
Troy Scott Holmberg, born in USA, joined the Live Love Well team in March 2018. Troy has over 20 years of experience in social entrepreneurship, using business innovations to improve the world and solve poverty with key competences to incubate and start-up multiple social enterprises in Kenya including Yehu Microfinance, Coast Coconut Farms, Amani Village, Basa Body and Asante Tree Farms and market access in the US for skincare and organic products from East Africa. Troy graduated with distinction from the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University with a MBA focused on international entrepreneurship.
Stephen Mwanza, born in Kenya, joined our Live Love Well Team in April. Stephen is a certified expert in organic Moringa farming and the East Africa leader in this field. Stephen has more than 30 years’ experience in Organic Horticulture and an advanced diploma in Permaculture. Stephen’s passion is caring for mother earth and its people. Permaculture is an innovative framework for creating sustainable ways of living; making agriculture more sustainable, restore soil, conserve water, and redirect waste streams. ‘The primary ethics of Permaculture include earth care, people care, and resource share’ and that is exactly what Stephen stands for.
Dr. Dennis Maina is an accomplished Horticulturist, Applied Nano technologist and holds a Doctorate degree in Horticulture. Dr. Dennis Maina is born in Kenya, and joined Live Love Well as Compliance Officer in April 2018 with a responsibility for optimizing organic resources for sustainable and quality superfoods production (Moringa Oleifera and Baobab). Dr Dennis is passionate about solving agricultural challenges to increase food quality and quantity with maximum environmental care.
Jacob van der Wiel, born in the Netherlands, brings a wealth in knowledge and experience in management, accounting and finance. Jacob holds a MBA from Erasmus University Rotterdam. He started his own IT trading and computer assembly companies in 1987. Having grown the group to a sales level of Euro 100 M he moved to Kenya in 2011, where he has done interim work as a CFO in industrial companies. Jacob is Managing Director of Centre for Business Support East Africa and a passionate entrepreneur and founder of various SME’s both in Europe and Africa.

Moringa oil is extracted from the seeds of Moringa Oleifera. Moringa oil has been mentioned as a very useful oil in the medicinal books of Greece and Rome. Even today, this oil is used for a number of industrial applications. It is great for topical use on the skin and the hair. It is also a nice cooking oil with a soft, appealing taste.
Moringa oil exerts many therapeutic properties because of its unique nutrition.
Antioxidant– Ben oil has strong antioxidant capacity.
Anti-inflammatory– The oil reduces inflammation both topically and internally.
Anti-aging– The oil provides nutrition to our skin and relieves aging signs.

Excellent Moisturizer Ben oil is one of the best moisturizers for the skin. It should be applied to the skin as a massage oil. It imparts glow to the skin and makes it well moisturized, but not too oiled. This oil is absorbed well into the skin, making it a nice ingredient in many homemade cosmetic products. This brilliant moisturization effects is because of very high amount of omega- 9 fatty acid (oleic acid) in moringa oil. It also makes the skin quite smooth, because of the behenic acid in it. Behenic acid is used in many products for its ability to smooth the skin and condition hair. This oil slips easily on the skin and spreads well.

Moringa oil pacifies dry skin. It is helpful in dry, irritated skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.
Acne – Because of its anti-inflammatory properties, moringa seed oil can be used as a spot treatment for acne. It also aids the body in healing acne scars.
It adds gloss to the skin, which may be needed sometimes, especially when the weather is dry.
It can be applied over scars left behind by wounds, scrapes, bruises, and burns. Moringa oil mixed with tamanu oil is a powerful scar diminishing formula.
Anti-Aging – Regular application of moringa oil reduces the striking appearance of wrinkles and fine lines on the skin It can be combined with an astringent product like aloe vera.
Moringa Oil for Hair It is just as good for the hair as it is for the skin. Moringa oil is a powerful hair conditioner. It should be used as a hot oil conditioner to deal with nearly any hair related problem. The hot oil treatment leaves the hair well moisturized, the hair roots are nourished, dandruff is washed out and there is much less irritation on the scalp. The best result is the conditioning. Hair is manageable and can be combed nicely. It adds shine or gloss to the hair, making them look beautiful. This effect is because of behenic acid in acid. Moringa oil also strengthens hair roots and as such can help with hair loss. It nourishes weak, damaged hair and reduces the lifelessness in them.
These are some home remedies using moringa oil.
Sleep Aid – Massage the head with moringa oil with about 3 – 4 drops of lavender essential oil. It reduces irritability and sleeplessness.
Exfoliating Oil – Mix olive oil and moringa oil in equal amounts. Add some sugar cubes to the oil and rub it on the skin.
Nail Softener – If one has really strong, powerful nails then they may cause trouble if they become dry and grow awkwardly. Soap them in moringa oil to make nails soft so that they can be easily cut.
Homemade Perfume – Add favorite essential oil to moringa oil to make homemade perfume. Use 2 – 3 drops of this as a perfume.
Moringa seed oil has had lots of uses since it was first extracted. These are some of the prominent industrial and home uses for the Ben oil.
Soap – Moringa oil is used in soap making because of its skin cleansing and moisturizing property.
Perfume Base – Perhaps the best natural perfume base of all oils. Moringa oil was preferred by people of ancient civilizations. It was used as base for perfumes. Even today, this remains one of the most important commercial application of moringa oil.
Oiling Machinery – Moringa oil is a preferred oil for lubricating small machine parts, like watches.
Cooking oil– Moringa oil is a nice cooking oil. It is used for deep frying and sautéing. Its smoke point is about 200 ° C which is good for deep frying purpose. Moringa seed oil is preferred as a salad oil in many places.
